RAPID UNDERGROUND VOLUME AND DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS OF POINT CLOUD DATA

Maptek I-Site Voidworks is the most productive and cost-effective means of importing, manipulating and calculating volumes from underground laser scan data (eg CMS or C-ALS). Exporting laser scan data in either MDL C-ALS ascii or .dxf format allows it to be imported directly into Voidworks for calculating stope, drive or void volumes.

Voidworks is easy to use, with streamlined menu options. A 4 step volume calculator means it literally takes minutes to go from a raw point cloud to a valid and verified solid model, which is then ready for volume calculation.

Smart and powerful filtering tools, automatic closed-section string generation (loop wraps) and incredible modelling features are just some of the features of Voidworks.

• Selecting the ‘loop wraps’ option allows a full model to be generated in seconds.
• Triangulation editing and validation make it possible to check and close a solid prior to calculating the volume.
